Aim & Scope

The task of Neural Architecture Search (NAS) refers to the use of machine learning to automate the design of artificial neural networks. This topic receives a rocketing interest from both the research and industrial community given the wide applications and recent advances of deep neural network (DNN). However, most state-of-the-art methods using DNN craft their network architecture by hand, which requires professional insights, experiences and a significant amount of efforts. Researchers have proposed various methods to automate the design of network architecture and achieve comparable performance as hand-designed systems. The success of obtaining an optimal network architecture is key to real-world applications in robotics, mobile phone and Internet-of-Thing scenarios.

In this special session on Neural Architecture Search and its Applications, we invite researchers to contribute original research papers devoted to innovations and novel applications of neural architecture search. The manuscripts should be submitted in PDF format. Please refer to the submission page for further guidelines on manuscript preparation.

Topics include but are not limited to:

l  Novel search methods for architecture search, design and optimization;

l  Multi-objective optimization in deep learning networks;

l  Multi-tasking in network architecture search

l  Evolution or optimization of adversarial models;

l  Nature-inspired algorithms or explanations on network architecture search;

l  Collaborative or competitive evolution in deep learning;
